   ImageShack is a free image hosting website. ImageShack has a subscription service but the majority of its revenue is produced from advertising related to its free image hosting. The imageshack.us Alexa ranking in September 25, 2007 was one of the top 40, but now as of May 24, 2011 dropped to 110.According to Nielsen//NetRatings, ImageShack was the fourth fastest growing web brand in July 2006.

How can ImageShack help students?
  • Since ImageShack is a free image hosting website, students can upload their images in here and whenever they need to use those pictures on blogs or forums, they can simply copy the URL of that picture and it will be automatically showed at the blog of forum. Videos can be also uploaded in ImageShack.

We rate this application 4 out of 10 since this won't really help at all times because it can only upload pictures and videos for internet use.

   Pageflakes is an Ajax-based startpage or personal web portal similar to NetvibesMy Yahoo!iGoogleWikpage and Microsoft Live. The site is organized into tabs, each tab containing user-selected modules called Flakes. Each Flake varies in content; information such as RSS/Atom feeds, Calendar, Notes, Web search, weather forecast, del.icio.us bookmarks, Flickr photos, social networking tools like FacebookYouTubeTwitter, email and user-created modules. Pageflakes has 250,000 Flakes and over 130,000 Pagecasts (publicly shared pages created by users with individual URLs).

How can PageFlakes help Students?
  • PageFlakes is a startup page for any browser that has a lot of applications in it that can help students in a day-to-day basis. PageFlakes has calendar which you can add events on a particular date just like 30Boxes, you can also add tasks that you have to do just like RememberTheMilk. It has a lot of features that can be used in different kinds of reasons. It also has music player which can make you relaxed, video searcher, up-to date news any many more!

   Goformat.com offers a number of ways to quickly format a block of text. Whether you want to transform all letters to upper or lower case, remove all instances of annoying characters such as “>” (which tends to show up in forwarded emails), or simply add a capital letter to the beginning of every sentence, Goformat.com can do the job quickly and easily.

How can Goformat help students?
  • Goformat can help students in quickly changing the format of a text whenever they like it. Some text would come in different sizes and different font styles, you can easily change it to whatever you like using Goformat. You can either change it all to uppercase or lowercase depending on your needs. It is also helpful to avoid some instances that some letters becomes uppercase and you will be called Jejemon.

We rate this application 7 out of 10 since you can use other programs such as Photoshop, GIMP etc. to edit pictures but this application does a quick edit but not that beautiful like what you can do using other programs.
